Mwangaza Theatre Company was created out of the need to see a specific demographic of the Australian population represented on and behind the stage.

We are an independent theatre company, that is committed to centring local talent, by championing new and exciting work from BIPOC and Queer creatives. We believe that true change in the theatre industry begins with making theatre that is easily accessible and that challenges the status quo.
